The Holt Ironmen were the 57-48 winner over the Brookwood Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Holt was dealt a 67-30 defeat at the hands of Brookwood on Tuesday. Holt just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
Joseph Mayo was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Kaleb Wise was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Holt bumped their record down to 2-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Brookwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holt will face off against West Blocton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Blocton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Brookwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Hueytown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hueytown will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
