Karns City is 10-0 against Allegheny-Clarion Valley since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Karns City Gremlins will head out on the road to face off against the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Karns City has four straight wins, Allegheny-Clarion Valley has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Karns City was able to grind out a solid win over Union, taking the game 51-39. Given Karns City's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Union is ranked 399th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Allegheny-Clarion Valley suffered a tough 60-40 defeat at the hands of Moniteau on Wednesday.
Karns City has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-10.
Everything came up roses for Karns City against Allegheny-Clarion Valley when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 64-33 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Karns City since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
