The Lutheran-Northeast Eagles lost against the Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lutheran-Northeast's tough 57-36 defeat to Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] might stick with them for a while. Lutheran-Northeast was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-14.
Despite the loss, Lutheran-Northeast still got an impressive performance from Delaney Rose-hancock, who scored 11 points. Kealy Ranslem was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Adyson Mlnarik was her usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-6 from long range and dropping a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]. Mlnarik is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Robertson, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
Lutheran-Northeast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which is still a better percentage than their 4-17 record this season. As for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard], their victory bumped their record up to 16-5.
Lutheran-Northeast will face off against Osmond/Randolph at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Osmond/Randolph focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
