After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cocke County, Northview Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Fulton Falcons with a sharp 22-1 win. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Destiny Workman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Abigail Doty was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.
