The Harborfields Tornadoes will head out on the road to challenge the Kings Park Kingsmen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Harborfields had to kick off their season on the road last Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They rang in the new year with a 38-26 win over Miller Place.
Meanwhile, Kings Park had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past Islip 41-19. Kings Park has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season.
Harborfields' victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Kings Park, they pushed their record up to 7-5 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
Harborfields might still be hurting after the 53-31 loss they got from Kings Park when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Harborfields avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
