The Stadium Tigers are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Kentwood Conquerors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stadium is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Stadium will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Kennedy Catholic on Thursday. Stadium was the clear victor by a 17-7 margin over Kennedy Catholic. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won three games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Lily Hart spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Kate Erickson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaynie Galindo, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Stadium always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .705. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennedy Catholic only posted an OBP of .382.
Meanwhile, Kentwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to Tahoma. Conquerors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bears since on Thursday.
Ell Sakai was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Stadium now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Kentwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Kentwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stadium hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. It's a different story for Kentwood, though, as they've only averaged .125. Will they be able to contain Stadium's hitters?
Stadium might still be hurting after the 8-2 loss they got from Kentwood in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Stadium avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
