They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mission Bay Buccaneers. Canyon Hills started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-8, 27-25, 25-13.
Mission Bay can attribute much of their success to Henry Gildehaus, who had 20 assists and three digs. Those 20 assists gave Gildehaus a new career-high. Zeth Abelman also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.
Canyon Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Mission Bay, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
