Twin Falls has gone a perfect 10-0 against Jerome recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bruins will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Twin Falls comes in on ten and Jerome on three.
Twin Falls' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Minico. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Maddox Stadelmeir, who gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks to keep Minico off the board. Stadelmeir has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Twin Falls' win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Lehew, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Ryker Rex was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Jerome took on Burley on Saturday. The Tigers won by a run and slipped past the Bobcats 1-0. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by just one run.
The result came thanks to Sawyer Tilley's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 15 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jerome is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 9-13 otherwise.
Twin Falls pushed their record up to 21-6 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Jerome, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.
Twin Falls was able to grind out a solid win over Jerome in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 6-2. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
