Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot is 1-9 against Kenston Forest since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Nathan Danburg was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot is 2-1 when Danburg posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Metacarpa, who scored a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Kenston Forest entered their tilt with Fuqua on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Falcons 11-1. The Kavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.
Tine Sledd was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Kyle Shaw was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Kenston Forest hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Kenston Forest's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kenston Forest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 11.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
