Ella Poulin and Remington Spangler made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Poulin tossed five innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Meanwhile, Spangler tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances. At bat, Poulin got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and two runs, while Spangler went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madison Dudley, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Leyton MacPherson, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
Point Loma always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15-1. As for Point Loma, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
