Strayhorn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ashland apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.
Ashland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Destiny Stewart out in front who scored 26 points. Victory McKinnie was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Strayhorn's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Ashland, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Strayhorn will take on Charleston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ashland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Jumpertown at 6:00 p.m. Jumpertown is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
