The Fleming Island Golden Eagles can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They really took it to Trinity Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-16 victory on the road. The victory was just what Fleming Island needed coming off of a 68-30 defeat in their prior game.
Fleming Island got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was London Jenkins out in front who scored 9 points along with 9 assists and 8 steals. Victoria Noble was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Fleming Island's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Trinity Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fleming Island will take on Orange Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Old Plank Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Old Plank Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 40 on Friday.
