The Crossroads Christian Colts stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Carolina M with a sharp 61-36 victory. The victory was familiar territory for Crossroads Christian who now have three in a row.
Elyssa Phillps continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Laci Wade, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Carolina M lost, one person who can't be blamed is Abigail Faison. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Faison has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rivkah Lloyd, who scored five points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Carolina M struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Crossroads Christian posted ten assists.
Crossroads Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Carolina M, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crossroads Christian will square off against Cape Fear Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cape Fear Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Carolina M, they will head out on the road to square off against Emerson Waldorf at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
