Covington-Douglas pushed the score to 36-15 by the end of the third, a deficit Mulhall-Orlando cut but never quite recovered from.
Covington-Douglas was led to victory by Derrek Daugherty and Ford Smith. Daugherty scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five steals, while Smith scored 21 points along with three steals. Daugherty is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Griffin, who scored three points.
Covington-Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Mulhall-Orlando, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
