2A Conference 7 recap November 19, 2013
Carver added to the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 7 this week by beating Lake Norman Charter, 53-14. The victory was the 11th in a row for the team.
Surry Central lost to North Rowan 42-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
West Stokes's Alex Manley and Ricky Kirchenbauer led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Manley has thrown for 1,139 yards this season, while Kirchenbauer has 35 catches for 517 yards. South Stokes's Jaquan Martin leads the league in rushing yards with 1,336.
The Wildcats made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,629 from 5,164. The improvement was largely due to a 36-13 victory over East Davidson last week.
