The Chi-Prep Academy Freeze fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Friends' Central on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the 99-94. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Friends' Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Muhsin Muhammad, who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Muhammad has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Fazl Oshodi, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Chi-Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Friends' Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
Chi-Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Friends' Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Shipley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Shipley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 429th, while Friends' Central is ranked 28th).
