Spencer-Van Etten hasn't had much luck against Charles O. Dickerson recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will face off against the Blue Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Charles O. Dickerson will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Spencer-Van Etten extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand Dryden a 10-0 shutout. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Cameron Sinn and Logan Aman did most of the damage at the plate: Sinn went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple, while Aman got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. With that strong performance, Aman is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Wyatt Ross also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Spencer-Van Etten was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Charles O. Dickerson made easy work of Watkins Glen on Monday and carried off a 17-1 victory. Considering the Blue Raiders have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Owen Fulton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Fulton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Connor Sherwood was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ozzy Vogel-Moore, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Spencer-Van Etten's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Charles O. Dickerson, their record now sits at 6-1.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Spencer-Van Etten hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. However, it's not like Charles O. Dickerson struggles in that department as they've averaged .456. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Spencer-Van Etten couldn't quite get it done against Charles O. Dickerson in their previous meeting back in April of 2018 as they fell 5-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
