The Clayton Clippers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Wildwood, falling 77-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clayton in their matchups with Wildwood: they've now lost nine in a row.
Junior Hans had an outrageously good game for Wildwood as he dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hans has scored at least 25% of Wildwood's points. Jordan Fusik was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists and four steals.
Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wildwood, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clayton will be home for the holidays to greet Pennsville Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wildwood will be home for the holidays to greet Lower Cape May at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
