The Edgewood Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Rising Sun Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Edgewood has not done well against the Cobras recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Edgewood took down the Cobras 52-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Edgewood.
Meanwhile, Rising Sun can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Aberdeen with a sharp 53-29 victory. The win was familiar territory for Rising Sun who now have three in a row.
Edgewood's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Rising Sun, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Edgewood was able to grind out a solid victory over the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January, winning 60-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Edgewood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
