York put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They beat the Gray-New Gloucester Patriots by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 70-64. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Patriots are ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

York's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Gray-New Gloucester, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cape Elizabeth at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Gray-New Gloucester will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Edward Little at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
