The Central City Bison came tearing into Thursday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against David City by a score of 41-30. The score was all tied up 18-18 at the break, but Central City was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerzie Schindler, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Addie Buhlke was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Central City is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for David City, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Central City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. St. Paul is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for David City, they will head out on the road to square off against Thayer Central at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Thayer Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
