The Oxon Hill Clippers stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 89-7 victory over College Park Academy. Winning may never get old, but Oxon Hill sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Oxon Hill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Damia Worthy, who scored 16 points along with six steals. Worthy is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Dashani Coleman was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five steals.
Oxon Hill pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 46.6 points. As for College Park Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Oxon Hill will head out on the road to take on the Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Clippers are ranked 56th). College Park Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wolverines on February 1st. Potomac comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
