The Centaurus Warriors will head out to square off against the Broomfield Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Centaurus put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. Everything went their way against Skyline as they made off with a 22-4 win. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Liam Sweeney made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Centaurus is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-8 otherwise. Sweeney was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Logan Ukleja was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Will Erdmann also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Centaurus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .784. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Broomfield entered their tilt with Holy Family on Thursday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 12-7.
Broomfield got a big performance out of JR Ramsey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Fleischman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI and one run.
Broomfield's record now sits at 11-3. As for Centaurus, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-9.
Centaurus might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Broomfield when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
