Tuttle extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 1 this week by beating Bridge Creek, 47-7. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Tigers.
Blanchard's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brock Lamle threw for 208 and one touchdown and Kyle Self had 77 yards receiving. On the ground Braden Stringer chipped in 145 yards. Zach Hill helped Blanchard's passing attack out by catching nine balls for 75 yards.
Gage Wimer made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Lions defeated Marlow. The 6-foot-3 senior racked up 2.0 sacks.
Blanchard's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lamle has thrown for 1109 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Hill has 24 catches for 376 yards. Stringer leads the league in rushing with 549 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Blanchard and Jones. Jeff Craig's team comes into the matchup ranked 15th in the state, while the Longhorns ranks 18th.
Little Axe made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,222 from 11,286. The advance stemmed from a 28-20 victory over Oklahoma Centennial last week.
