  Halle Hoyt and  Emma Seleski did most of the damage at the plate:  Hoyt  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4, while  Seleski  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Brynn Saxton, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Shepherd now  has a losing record of 2-3. As for St. Louis,  the  win  got them back to even at 1-1.
