In what's become a running theme this season, East Carter gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Morgan County Cougars  a   15-0 shutout. The  win was nothing new for East Carter as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Nobody will forget  Laken Knipp's heroic performance anytime soon (especially Morgan County's batters): she turned in a perfect game. Knipp has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, East Carter let  Shelby Felty and  Emily Biddle loose on the outfield. Felty  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-3, while  Biddle  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs, a  triple,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Trina Porter, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 East Carter has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record  this season. As for Morgan County, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-9.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Carter's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Fairview at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Morgan County will take on Magoffin County at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
