The Holliston Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Norton Lancers at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Holliston not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 13-2). They put the hurt on Bellingham with a sharp 10-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the contest before.
The team relied heavily on Aidan Kramer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. Tristan Snyder also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Norton entered their tilt with Ashland on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Clockers. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Ben Price was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Adam Caldwell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Norton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
Holliston's record now sits at 6-7. As for Norton, their record is now 5-8.
Holliston skirted past Norton 5-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
