Liberty is on  an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Eldred a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck  on Monday.  Meanwhile, Eldred fell victim to Port Jervis and their airtight pitching crew  on Saturday. They lost  11-0 to the Raiders. The  match marked the first time this season in which the Yellowjackets were not able to get on the board.
 Eldred's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Liberty has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.1  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eldred struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 3.8  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Liberty suffered a grim  16-4 defeat to Eldred  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
