The Scott Beavers were the 71-55 winner over the Ulysses Tigers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Scott took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Scott has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Scott's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Alex Tarango and Jackson Rumford. Tarango scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Rumford scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tarango has scored all season.
Scott dropped their record down to 8-7 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Ulysses, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scott will challenge the Broncs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 221 points over their last three matchups. As for Ulysses, they will head out on the road to face off against the Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
