The Kent County Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Nandua 41-36.
Kent County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zoe Angenieux, who scored 18 points, and Kate Cannon who scored 14 points. Angenieux scored a full 50% of Kent County's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Kent County bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Nandua, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kent County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Pocomoke at 4:00 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Nandua won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Crisfield at 2:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Crisfield comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 14 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
