Brimfield is a perfect 4-0 against Delavan since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Indians will welcome the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Brimfield is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games.
Brimfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over Stark County on Wednesday. Considering the Indians have won 15 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Evan Patterson and Kaeden Schatsiek made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Patterson pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Schatsiek struck out seven batters over 2.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At bat, Patterson went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Schatsiek went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Brimfield let Layne Johnson and Dane Fagerburg run wild. Johnson went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and one stolen base, while Fagerburg went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Fagerburg a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Burkitt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Brimfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Delavan's offense. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Brimfield pushed their record up to 21-4-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Delavan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
Both Brimfield and Delavan just can't seem to miss. The Indians have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Delavan struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Brimfield was able to grind out a solid win over Delavan in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 6-1. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
