The biggest upset of the week belonged to Jordan, who took down 336th ranked Jordan, 22-19. Jalen Warfield threw for 131 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 34 yards in the win.
Cabrillo was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in Moore. The Jaguars vanquished the Panthers 22-19 earlier in the week.
Kaelon Price provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Cabrillo bested Jordan. He completed 14 passes for 196 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 41 yards. Price's favorite target this week was Da'Morre Johnson, who caught seven passes for 149 yards.
Tonny Lindsey was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 189 yards on 29 carries as Woodrow Wilson defeated Thomas Barnes's team. J'Quan Hawkins also contributed to the rushing game with 76 yards on the ground.
5-foot-10 quarterback Price of the Jaguars is the league leader in passing yards this season with 880. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, the Bruins' Lindsey has rushed for 793 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Zimari Manning. The Woodrow Wilson star has 28 catches for 336 yards.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when Long Beach Poly and the Panthers meet this week. The Jackrabbits features well-regarded sophomore Iman Marshall while Jordan has John Ross, a sought after senior.
A big matchup in Moore this week will be when Compton takes on Lakewood. The Tarbabes are in fourth place, while the Lancers are in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Long Beach Poly takes on the Panthers. Raul Lara's team has allowed 131 points this season, while Jordan has given up 136. The Jackrabbits allowed 0 points last week as they bested Compton.
Cabrillo moved up to 351 from 433 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Jaguars were able to make the jump by beating the Panthers 22-19.
