The Fleming Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 70-32 victory over Peetz at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Fleming has managed all season.
Fleming's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madi Serrato led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Serrato is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ashley Bornhoft, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Fleming's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Peetz, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fleming will challenge Merino at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Peetz will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Prairie at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th.
