With a playoff game on the line, the Plant Panthers rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the Panthers. The victory was nothing new for Plant as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Plant can attribute much of their success to Waltez Clark, who rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Clark hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games.
Plant's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.5 points per game. As for Dr. Phillips, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Plant will head out on the road to face off against Sumner at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sumner has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 212 points over their last five matchups. Dr. Phillips does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
