The Freedom Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 68-44 defeat at the hands of Heritage. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Freedom of the 56-47 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Leading Heritage to victory were Alvin Ella and Mason Weber. Ella scored 13 points, while Weber scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Weber has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Beltram, who scored seven points.
Freedom has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season. As for Heritage, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 9-16.
Freedom will be playing in front of their home fans against Deer Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freedom is on a four-game streak of home losses, Deer Valley a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Heritage's road trip will continue as they head out to face Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Liberty will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Heritage surely won't give up without a fight.
