The Unity Reed Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 60-38 loss at the hands of Osbourn. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Unity Reed has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Unity Reed had strong showings from Zayden NIchols, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Xzayvier Martin, who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Martin posted two or more blocks.
Unity Reed has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Osbourn, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Unity Reed will take on Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Osbourn won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Woodbridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th.
