Holliday is 8-2 against the Bearcats since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Holliday Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Henrietta Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Holliday has 25 straight wins, the Bearcats have nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Holliday scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Jacksboro 80-54. Holliday has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holliday to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keitenn Bristow, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Bristow hasn't dropped below 16 points for 22 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Howard, who scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Henrietta had to suffer through a rough 77-37 loss at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, Henrietta can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1114th, while the Lions are ranked 339th).
Holliday's win was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Henrietta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Holliday against the Bearcats in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 75-29 victory. Does Holliday have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
