Angleton is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while College Station is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wildcats will challenge the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Angleton's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
If College Station heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Angleton took over last week. The Wildcats blew past Crosby 31-7 on Friday. Give the Wildcats' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.
Jayden Moore produced another solid performance rushing for 75 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 52 yards.
Angleton's run defense was locked in: Crosby could only muster 1.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Wallace Thornley for the heroic effort on defense: he. Angleton didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.8.

Angleton's defense also made the game a nightmare for Lott Robison, racking up 7.5 sacks. Brynden Mack was especially locked on to Crosby's QB and sacked him twice. Mack also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight. Thornley was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble, making nine total tackles, and defending one pass.
Meanwhile, College Station gave up the first points two weeks ago, but they didn't give up any more after. They snuck past Weiss with a 35-31 win.
Angleton better focus on containing Trey Walton and Keaton Johnson as the pair were huge in College Station's win. Walton rushed for 173 yards and one score while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, while Johnson rushed for 172 yards and one touchdown. Those 172 rushing yards gave Johnson a new career-high.
College Station didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Wade Couch and Jeriyan Maxey. Couch got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Angleton's record now sits at 9-1. As for College Station, their record is now 6-4.
Angleton won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, slipping by College Station 35-34. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
