After flying high against the Chetopa Hornets last Friday, the Altoona-Midway Jets came back down to earth. Altoona-Midway was dealt a 69-12 loss at the hands of Southeast on Tuesday. Altoona-Midway has not had much luck with Southeast recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Eliz White was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 18 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Teagan Warner was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Altoona-Midway has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Southeast, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altoona-Midway will take on Pleasanton at TBD on Friday. Pleasanton's defense has only allowed 27.5 points per game this season, so Altoona-Midway's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Southeast, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Jayhawk Linn at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Jayhawk Linn is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
