The Hall Titans will head out on the road to face off against the East Hartford Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Hall unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 41-17 walloping at the hands of Maloney. Hall was down 34-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Hall's loss came about despite a quality game from Bode Smith, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 175 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, East Hartford humbled Conard with a 72-26 victory. The victory was just what East Hartford needed coming off of a 53-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
Drayvn Roberts was his usual excellent self, rushing for 168 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 220 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes. Roberts is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Dallas West was in the mix as well, providing East Hartford with two touchdowns.
Maloney's victory bumped their season record to 6-1 while Hall's loss dropped theirs to 5-2.
Everything came up roses for Hall against East Hartford when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 34-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hall since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
