Volleyball Recap: Marquette Manor Baptist Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Homeschool Resource Center

Marquette Manor Baptist Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots on Tuesday. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Marquette Manor Baptist Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Marquette Manor Baptist Academy lost, don't look at Sophia Mukenschnabl. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and three assists. Mukenschnabl is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.

HomeSchool Resource Center now has a winning record of 4-3-2.

Marquette Manor Baptist Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Berean Christian on the 29th. After both having extra time off, HomeSchool Resource Center and Westlake Christian Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on the 5th.
