The Kingman Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Douglass 55-25 at home. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for Kingman this season.
Donovan Cress had an outrageously good game as he scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Tristen Davidson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Kingman's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Douglass, they dropped their record down to 2-10-1 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingman will square off against Conway Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Conway Springs presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kingman in Kansas (Conway Springs is ranked 103rd, while Kingman is ranked 209th). As for Douglass, they will head out on the road to face off against Independent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Independent focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday.
