There's no place like home for the Towns County Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Greene County with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 68-52. With that victory, Towns County brought their scoring average up to 50.4 points per game.
Towns County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaleigh Beaver out in front who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Beaver hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brelan Sieveking, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Towns County's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Greene County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Towns County will challenge Washington-Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Towns County is facing Washington-Wilkes at the right time seeing as Washington-Wilkes is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Greene County, they will head out on the road to take on Lincoln County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
