The Jefferson City Jays will be playing at home against the Lee's Summit West Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Jefferson City's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Lee's Summit West has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
Last Wednesday, Jefferson City ended up a good deal behind Tipton and lost 65-48. While losing is never fun, Jefferson City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Tipton is ranked 16th).
Meanwhile, Lee's Summit West was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 40-36 to Truman.
Jefferson City's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Lee's Summit West, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
Jefferson City was able to grind out a solid victory over Lee's Summit West when the teams last played back in December of 2020, winning 68-59. Will Jefferson City repeat their success, or does Lee's Summit West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
