The St. Patrick Shamrocks will be playing at home against the Fulton Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Patrick has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 240 points over their last five matchups.
St. Patrick stacked a fifth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat St. Charles 53-16 at home. With St. Patrick ahead 22-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Brady Leonard got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for ten yards and two touchdowns. Leonard was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Brayden Simon also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Fulton fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Carson City-Crystal by a score of 36-28 on Friday.
St. Patrick's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Vestaburg and 1-9 Byron (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.1% over those games). As for Fulton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
St. Patrick skirted past Fulton 37-34 in their previous meeting on October 7th. Does St. Patrick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fulton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
