The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mater Academy Charter, who took down 363rd ranked Mater Academy Charter, 18-16.
Boca Raton Christian extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Central Florida Christian Academy, 49-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for Boca Raton Christian.
P.K. Yonge's dynamic duo of Van Turner and Tamarick Vanover proved tough for Trenton to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Turner threw for 233 yards and three touchdowns and Vanover had 75 yards receiving. Kiaundric Richardson helped P.K. Yonge's passing attack out by catching six balls for 68 yards.
Lonnie Marts III was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 186 yards on 18 carries as Harvest Community fell to the Tigers. Bradley Bellingrath also contributed to the rushing game with 129 yards on the ground.
Marts III made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Warriors topped Jupiter Christian. The 6-foot-2 junior grabbed one interception and recorded one fumble.
6-foot-4 quarterback Nic Duch of Christ's Church Academy is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1323. He has also thrown 18 touchdowns. On the ground, Harvest Community's Marts III has rushed for 849 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Josh Preston. The Rocky Bayou Christian star has 49 catches for 665 yards.
A big matchup in Freelance this week will be when Northwest Christian takes on Berean Christian. As it stands, the Eagles are in 11th, while the Bulldogs are in seventh.
Gateway Charter was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 46th to 26th in the league. The Griffins vanquished Oasis 50-0 earlier in the week.
