The Biggs Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Los Molinos 80-55. Biggs has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Biggs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Kroupa, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Kroupa has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Emilio Vera was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and four blocks.
Despite the loss, Los Molinos still got an impressive performance from Luke Cantonwine, who scored 23 points along with four steals. Cantonwine continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Josh Alcazar, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Biggs has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Los Molinos, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biggs will square off against Maxwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Maxwell is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Los Molinos, they will head out on the road to challenge Hamilton at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
