The Discovery Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Meadowcreek. Discovery was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Meadowcreek apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Meadowcreek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daron Sturdivant, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Adonai Mussie was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Discovery bumped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Meadowcreek, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Discovery will take on Duluth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Duluth is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Meadowcreek, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Peachtree Ridge at 7:00 p.m. Peachtree Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meadowcreek in Georgia (Peachtree Ridge is ranked 59th, while Meadowcreek is ranked 263rd).
