The Trinity Prep Saints lost against the Lake Highland Prep Highlanders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Trinity Prep was outmatched by Lake Highland Prep on the road and fell 85-6. Trinity Prep has not had much luck with Lake Highland Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Lake Highland Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lexi Blue led the charge by scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ari Woodard, who scored 16 points along with seven steals.
Trinity Prep now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Lake Highland Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Trinity Prep and Foundation Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Lake Highland Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Timber Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Timber Creek is on a three-game streak of home wins, Lake Highland Prep a seven-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
