The Dover Crimson Tornadoes will face off against the Wooster Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Dover lost 3-0 to Lexington on Tuesday.
Dover was held off the set scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-19.
Meanwhile, Wooster had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Quakers.
While Wooster might've won, it sure wasn't easy: New Philadelphia scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-22, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22.
Wooster's win came from a few key players Dover will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nya Hammerly, who had 13 digs, 10 kills, and five aces. Another player making a difference was Clover Babcock, who had 35 assists, eight digs, and two aces.
Dover's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-3. As for Wooster, they have now won six of their last eight games on the road. That gives them a 3-2 record this season.
